Liquid membrane (Isogam)

Introduction

The liquid membrane is a one-part, highly flexible, cold-applied watertight coating based on advanced hybrid polymer technology. This product is an important innovation in the building waterproofing industry. Unlike traditional (roll) membranes, which have overlaps and seams where most leaks begin, once applied it becomes a completely unified, impermeable polymer membrane without the slightest seam.

This product needs no primer or complex preparation and, unlike water-based waterproofing products, which cannot be applied on wet surfaces, it can be applied on damp surfaces (without standing wetness). The anti-shrinkage property of the liquid membrane means that it does not change in volume after drying.

The resistance of this polymer to temperature changes (extreme cold and heat) and to ultraviolet (UV) radiation makes it one of the most durable options for waterproofing flat roofs, pitched roofs and spaces exposed to direct sunlight.

Directions for use

1. The target surface must be clean, sound and free of dust, grease and loose particles. On surfaces with traditional membrane, remove the aluminium foil. (The product can be used in a damp environment, but the surface must not be wet or have puddles of water)
2. The product is ready to use and needs no dilution.
3. Pour the product onto the surface in a strip, then spread it with a roller, brush or trowel.
4. Until it has dried completely, the surface must be protected from water, freezing and contamination, and must not be subjected to pressure and stress.
5. If a greater thickness is needed or in special conditions (such as roofs exposed to direct sunlight), apply the product at a greater thickness according to the consumption table.
6. On new concrete structures, at least 28 days must have passed since construction so that the internal moisture decreases.

Storage and warnings

• Wear gloves when using the liquid membrane. Keep out of reach of children.
• Store away from direct sunlight and heat sources, in a well-ventilated place.
