Introduction
Adhesive 123 is a two-component instant adhesive. Initial set takes place within a few seconds of the two surfaces coming into contact. The resulting polymer film is transparent and colourless and is not visible at the bond line. The high shear strength and high hardness of this adhesive make it suitable for small, precise joints, urgent repairs and delicate work. However, the hard and relatively brittle nature of the polymer film makes it less effective for joints subjected to constant impact, severe vibration or heavy tensile loads, and in such cases Ghaffari-brand epoxy or polyurethane adhesives are a more suitable alternative.

Directions for use
Surface preparation: Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of dust, grease and oil. If there is greasy contamination, clean the surface with a suitable solvent and dry it completely. The surfaces must fit together perfectly. Cyanoacrylate adhesives reach maximum strength at a thin film thickness. On polished, non-porous surfaces, slightly roughening the surface with fine sandpaper improves adhesion.
Method of application:
- Apply a very small amount of liquid adhesive to one of the two surfaces. Excess adhesive not only does not increase strength, but lengthens the setting time and weakens the bond line.
- Spray the activator onto the opposite surface from a distance of about 10 to 15 cm and allow a few seconds for its solvent to evaporate.
- Bring the two surfaces together and hold them with uniform pressure for about 20 seconds.
- Do not subject the joint to full load for 24 hours, so that final strength is reached.
Alternative method for filling joints and fractures: Place the liquid adhesive in the joint and then spray the activator over it. This method allows a thicker layer to set, whereas cyanoacrylate adhesive alone does not set properly in a thick layer. For larger joints, application in several successive thin layers is recommended.
Additional notes: After each use, clean the nozzle of the container and close the cap fully; moisture remaining on the nozzle causes clogging and setting of the adhesive inside the package. On dry, porous wooden surfaces, spraying the activator before applying the adhesive improves the speed and quality of the set. Adhesive remaining on the surface can be wiped off with acetone before it sets; after setting, it can only be removed mechanically and with care. The suitable application temperature is between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius.
Warnings
- The use of gloves is mandatory.
- In case of contact with the eye or eyelid, do not rub or force the eye open, and consult a doctor immediately.
- Work in a well-ventilated area.
- In contact with cotton, wool, tissue paper and natural-fibre fabrics, cyanoacrylate adhesive produces a strong exothermic reaction and may cause burns or smoke.
- The spray can is pressurised and flammable; do not puncture it, throw it into a fire or expose it to temperatures above 50 degrees Celsius.
- Do not use for bonding containers in direct contact with food or for medical purposes.
- Keep out of the reach of children.
Store in the original packaging with the cap closed, in a dry, cool place, away from moisture, direct sunlight and heat sources.
