Threadlocker TL62

Introduction

Threadlocker TL62 is a non-permanent, medium to high strength threadlocker designed for securing, locking and non-permanently sealing bolts, screws, studs (double-ended threads) and metal threaded fittings in the absence of air.

A distinctive feature of this product is its thixotropic behaviour with low viscosity for ease of application when flowing, which makes it suitable for use on vertical surfaces.

By creating a suitable joint, this product prevents assembled parts from loosening due to shock and industrial vibration, and it also gives acceptable performance on surfaces with light contamination from oil and fluids; however, for best performance of this adhesive, contamination from industrial oils (such as engine oil, anti-rust oils and cutting fluids) must be thoroughly cleaned from the surfaces.

Directions for use

1. If the bolt and thread are contaminated, clean them.
2. Apply a suitable amount of adhesive to the bolt thread (not the whole bolt). For blind holes, also place a little adhesive inside the internal thread. There is no need to shake the bottle.
3. Tighten the joint to the appropriate torque.
4. Initial set is reached after about 20 to 30 minutes, functional strength within 1 to 3 hours, and final strength after 24 hours.
5. To disassemble joints, use a suitable hand tool. (To make the work easier, it is suggested to first apply a little heat to the cross-section concerned)

Storage and warnings

- Wear gloves and a mask when using.

- Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

- Use in a well-ventilated area.

- Keep out of the reach of children.

- Store away from direct sunlight and heat sources, in a well-ventilated place.
